1 package golden oreos
3 eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
1 cup water
1 can buttercream
strawberry kisses
strawberry crumble topping
Tools
food processor
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350F and prepare the cake batter according to the package directions. For a scratch strawberry cake recipe, refer to my cookbook Caketopia.
Step 2
Place three oreos into the bottom of a mini cake pan (I got these narrow pans from SprinklePop) and pour in the strawberry cake batter to fill 2/3 of the way. Bake cakes for 15-18 minutes, or until fully cooked. (Cool before frosting)
Step 3
Slice off the tops and cover in cream cheese frosting. Refer to my cookbook Caketopia for a scratch cream cheese frosting recipe.
Step 4
Dip the cakes into the strawberry crumble topping, and add freshly sliced strawberries. Chill until ready to serve, Enjoy!
Strawberry Crumble Topping
Step 1
Place the Oreo cookies into a food processor and blend into fine crumbs.
Step 2
Place half the crumbs into a mixing bowl and add melted butter as well as the jello powder. Stir until well combined.
Step 3
Spread evenly onto baking tray and bake for about 10 minutes at 350F. Allow the strawberry mixture to cool, then place into the food processor and blend into crumbs.
Step 4
Combine the remaining golden Oreo crumbs with the strawberry crumbs. Scoop out some vanilla or strawberry ice cream and roll in the strawberry shortcake topping. Eat right away or store in the freezer for later.
