Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
8 cloves garlic, diced
4 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp mirin
2 tsp sugar
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp vegetable oil
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp green onion, chopped
Directions
Step 1
Mix beef, onion, garlic, soy sauce, mirin, sugar, honey, and black pepper in a large bowl. Rest for at least 5-10 minutes.
Step 2
Heat pan to medium high and add 1 tsp of vegetable oil.
Step 3
Add beef mix to the pan and break into pieces. Make sure to move the meat around while cooking.
Step 4
Cook until all the liquid is released and evaporated and you hear the meat sizzle. You can continue cooking 1 extra minute to give the beef some color.
Step 5
Remove from heat and top with sesame seeds, sesame oil, and green onions.
