Ingredients

500 g firm tofu

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp ground ginger

½ tsp cumin

1 tbsp Korean pepper flakes

2 tbsp spicy olive oil

2 tbsp soy sauce

4 tbsp hoisin sauce

2 tbsp agave

2 tbsp chinsu

2 scallions

1 tbsp sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

Open the tofu then slice it in half if it’s in one big block! Place between two plates or two saucepans and put something heavy on top to weigh it down so the water drains out. Let it sit for about 20 minutes then pat it dry and cut it into cubes

500 g firm tofu

Step 2

Add the tofu into a large bowl then pour in the spicy olive oil ( you can use regular olive oil if you can’t find spicy ) garlic powder cumin red pepper flakes and ginger powder then toss to coat the tofu and place the tofu on a baking sheet . Bake in a 190 c fan oven for ten minutes then flip them over and bake a further 10 minutes or until crunchy

Step 3

In a large bowl add agave soy sauce hoisin sauce and chinsu then whisk to combine . ( if you don’t have chinsu sauce you can substitute sriracha ) When the tofu is crunchy toss into the sauce and coat all the tofu. To serve garnish with sliced scallions and sesame seeds
