Ingredients

1 eggs

1 tsp salt

1 tsp vegetable oil

220 mL water

250 gram ground beef

250 gram ground pork

¾ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 onion

2 scallions

2 tbsp butter

¼ cup sour cream

3 cup flour

Directions

Step 1

I use a measuring cup ( 240ml) then i add the egg oil salt and mix then fill the cup to the top with warm water and mix again then add a large bowl .

Step 2

Add 3 cups of flour then stir until the dough comes together and knead it for a few minutes until smooth now cover it and rest 30 minutes

Step 3

In a bowl mix ground beef and pork ( You can just use ground pork or ground beef if you prefer but i find the meats mixed are more tasty) Finely dice or grate an onion and add it with some salt and pepper then mix all together

Step 4

Roll out the dough and use a cookie cutter or glass to cut out circles then place a teaspoon of the filling in the centre and pinch from the middle down each side to seal then fold the sides down to make the traditional shape

Step 5

Cook the pelmeni in boiling water until they float around 7 minutes then melt butter and oil in a frying pan and fry until golden . Serve with sour cream more black pepper herbs and scallions
