Ingredients

2 clove garlic

1 red chili pepper

400 gram peeled tomatoes

½ cup fresh basil

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp salt
500 gram gnocchi
125 gram mascarpone

100 gram parmesan cheese

1 cup green peas
Directions
Step 1
Finely dice the garlic then deseed and dice the chilli and sautee it in some olive oil on medium low heat

Add 1 tin chopped tomatoes and use a little water to get the rest of the tomato sauce out of the tin and pour that into the tomatoes and simmer 3 minutes

Add chopped basil salt and pepper and continue to cook

Step 4
Generously salt a pot of boiling water then add the gnocchi ( you can also use spaghetti or pasta ) cook according to package instructions

500 gram gnocchi

Stir in the peas into the tomato sauce then add the mascarpone
125 gram mascarpone

1 cup green peas
Step 6
Take the gnocchi out of the pot and add to the tomato sauce with a little bit of the pasta water then stir and add grated parmesan and more basil on top
