Ingredients
300 gram shrimp
1 pinch salt
½ tsp white pepper
2 eggs
½ tsp salt
1 tsp white pepper
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp Chinese 5 spice
⅓ cup flour
⅓ cup corn starch
1 ½ cup panko bread crumbs
300 mL vegetable oil
Directions
Step 1
Remove the shells and devein the Shrimp then season with salt and white pepper

Whisk 2 eggs in a bowl then add salt white pepper cayenne and chinese 5 spice and whisk with a fork

In another bowl add the flour and cornstarch and whisk to combine
⅓ cup flour
⅓ cup corn starch
Step 4
Put the Panko breadcrumbs in another bowl
1 ½ cup panko bread crumbs
Step 5
Dip the shrimp into the flour then shake off the excess and dip it into the egg shake the excess of again then put it into the Panko crumbs and press the crumbs onto the shrimp coating fully
Step 6
Once all the shrimp are ready for frying heat the oil in a deep pan on medium heat and fry the shrimp in small batches until the shrimp is golden approx 8 minutes
Step 7
Drain the shrimp on paper towels and serve with your favourite dipping sauce . I like to eat mine with sweet chilli sauce .
