Ingredients
400 g tofu
1 tsp salt
1 eggs
½ cup cornstarch
1 pinch salt
½ tsp white pepper
½ tsp Chinese five spice
1 tsp vegetable bouillon
1 red chilli
1 shallot
4 tbsp kecap manis
1 tbsp sesame seeds
Directions
Step 1
Cut the tofu into squares then put in salted water bring to the boil and simmer five minutes . Drain then place on a tea towel to drain off the excess moisture

Beat an egg in a bowl then toss in the tofu coating in the egg. Drain off any excess egg

In a ziploc bag add cornstarch salt Chinese five spice white pepper and vegetable bouillon powder then toss in the tofu and shake it . Shake off the excess then fry in vegetable oil on medium high heat until golden and crunchy

Step 4
Fry a shallot then add it to a bowl with a sliced red chilli kecap manis ( sweet soy sauce) a pinch of salt and sesame seeds . Dip in the tofu and enjoy
