Ingredients

375 g self rising flour

½ tsp salt

½ tsp garlic powder

168 g cold butter

1 tsp thyme

1 ½ cup cheddar

1 ¼ cup buttermilk

2 tbsp salted butter

½ tsp thyme

½ tsp garlic powder

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl add self rising flour , garlic powder and salt and thyme then stir to combine . Add in cold butter and mash the butter into the flour until it resembles crumbs

375 g self rising flour

½ tsp garlic powder

168 g cold butter

1 tsp thyme

Step 2

Add the cheese and buttermilk to the flour and stir until it all comes together then scoop large scoops of the dough and place on a baking tray and freeze for ten minutes ( makes ten depending on how big you make them) put into a 400 f 205 c oven for 13 minutes

1 ¼ cup buttermilk

Step 3

Melt 2 tbsp of salted butter in a pot with garlic powder and thyme then brush all over the biscuits and put the biscuits back into the oven for 3 minutes . Once removed the top should be delicious and crunchy .
