Crispy, tangy and spicy. Will make you fall in love with potatoes all over again.

Ingredients

4 medium sized potatoes
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp amchoor
2 whole red chillies
1/4 tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
2 1/2 whole green chillies
Fresh chopped coriander
Lemon/lime juice

Directions

1.
Cut the potatoes in equal halves, wash and set them aside. Meanwhile, in a pot, heat oil to fry the potatoes.
2.
Pat dry the washed potatoes with a clean cloth. Once the potatoes are dry, put them in the oil and fry until they are golden and cooked.
3.
Let the potatoes cool down a little and then, press the potatoes with a small bowl or the bottom of a mug.
4.
Re-fry the potatoes after mashing till they turn golden brown.
5.
In a separate pan, heat a few tablespoons of oil, add chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, amchoor powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt to taste and some pepper.
6.
Next, add the potatoes to the spice mixture and give everything a good mix.
7.
Top the potatoes with some lemon/lime juice and fresh coriander and serve. Enjoy!
