Ingredients

Falfel

4 cup chickpeas

1 yellow onion

3 clove garlic

3 tbsp fresh parsley (with stem)

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp coriander

½ tsp cumin

½ tsp red pepper flakes

2 tsp baking powder

2 tbsp sesame seeds

Parsley Tarator Sauce

6 tbsp tahini

6 tbsp plain yogurt

1 clove garlic

1 tbsp fresh parsley

½ tsp salt

½ tsp sugar

½ juice lemon (juice 1/2 lemon)

3 tbsp water

1 KitchenAid Cordless Food Chopper

1 KitchenAid Cordless Hand Blender

Directions

Falfel

Step 1

Soak chickpeas overnight

4 cup chickpeas

Step 2

Drain chickpeas, and put in processor (KitchenAid Cordless Food Chopper) with the onions, garlic, and parsley

3 tbsp fresh parsley (with stem)

Step 3

Process and put into a bowl with spices, baking powder, sesame seeds, and salt and pepper to taste

4 cup processed chickpea mixture

½ tsp cumin

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp coriander

½ tsp red pepper flakes

2 tsp baking powder

2 tbsp sesame seeds

Step 4

Mix all together. Take a spoonful of mixture into hands to form falafel balls

Step 5

Place falafels in fridge for 15 minutes

Step 6

Fry falafels in hot oil for 4-5 minutes until golden brown

Step 7

Cool falafels on wire rack, then put on pita with Parsley Tarator Sauce

Parsley Tarator Sauce

Step 1

Combine parsley, garlic, tahini, yogurt, lemon, water, salt, and sugar

1 tbsp fresh parsley

1 clove garlic

6 tbsp tahini

6 tbsp plain yogurt

½ juice lemon (juice 1/2 lemon)

½ tsp salt

½ tsp sugar

Step 2

Use KitchenAid Cordless Hand Blender to blend mixture until nice and smooth
