Ingredients

2 cup broccoli bite sizes

200 g extra firm tofu

1 ½ tbsp sesame oil

1 tbsp sesame seeds

½ tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp honey

½ tsp garlic powder

salt and pepper

5 cup boiling water

1 tbsp coarse salt

1 cup ice

3 cup cold water

pinch chilli flakes, optional
Directions
Step 1
In a large pot, bring water to boil and salt generously. Prepare a large bowl with cold water and ice. Cut the broccoli into bite sizes and blanche them in the boiling water for 30-40 seconds. Then place them in the ice water for about a minute before draining and letting them dry on the side.

In a separate large bowl, mash up the tofu and mix it up with sesame oil, sesame seeds, rice vinegar, honey and garlic powder.

Step 3
Pat dry any excess water from the broccoli and add them into the seasoning bowl in Step 2. Season everything with salt and pepper and drizzle the broccoli with more sesame oil. Toss and turn to combine everything.

Serve cold with an optional sprinkle of chilli flakes on top. Make sure to enjoy every broccoli bite with enough of the delicious tofu seasoning!
