Ingredients
3 lbs. Collard greens
2 Chopped smoked Ham hocks or smoked Turkey
1 diced red onion
1 diced yellow onion
¼ cup chopped garlic
2 cups Chicken broth
2 teaspoon hot sauce
2 tbs. apple cider vinegar
3 cups of water
For the seasoning
1 tbsp. 1⁄2 Onion Powder
1 tbsp. 1⁄2 Garlic powder
1 tsp. Red pepper flakes
1 tbsp. 1⁄2 Chicken bouillon
1 tbsp. 1⁄2 Black pepper
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. 1⁄2 Old cooking grease (optional)
Directions
Step 1
Clean and wash your collard greens properly with water and vinegar. Roll and cut them into bite-sized pieces and sit on the side.

Clean and wash your ham hocks or smoked turkey thoroughly.

In a pot, add in meat and fill the pot with 3 cups of water and 2 cups of chicken broth about an inch over the ham hocks. Allow boiling until the meat is able to be separated from the bone.

Next, add your collard greens to the same pot with ham hocks along with the rest of the ingredients.
Step 5
Fill the pot with diced onions, chopped garlic, seasonings listed, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, and brown sugar.

Allow to simmer, occasionally stirring, until the collard greens are cooked down completely.
