Here’s a 20 minute app for all of you hosts out there: brûléed cheese with lavender-infused honey! The recipe only requires 5 ingredients, excluding 2 pantry staples, & 10 minutes of prep. It starts by tossing goat cheese, whipped cream cheese & marscarpone into a food processor. As the cheeses are whipped, extra virgin olive oil is streamed in to emulsify the dip. Pro tip –– use high-quality olive oil for this; I promise you’ll thank me later. The result is an incredibly light & velvety cloud. It’s spooned into a baking vessel, covered & baked for 10 minutes. When ready to serve, the dip’s surface is covered in sugar then torched to create a shell. I recommend drizzling with a bit of lavender-infused honey for the ultimate sensory experience: it’s salty, sweet, a bit tangy, smooth, crunchy & aromatic, thanks to the floral notes of lavender. Ingredients

8 oz goat cheese, room temperature

6 oz whipped cream cheese, room temperature

4 oz mascarpone

lavender infused honey

¼ c extra virgin olive oil

2 - 3 tbsp white sugar

1 tsp salt

Directions

Step 1

To a food processor, add goat cheese, cream cheese, mascarpone, olive oil & salt. Pulse until very smooth & creamy. Spread mixture into a baking dish & cover with foil.

8 oz goat cheese, room temperature

6 oz whipped cream cheese, room temperature

¼ c extra virgin olive oil

1 tsp salt

4 oz mascarpone

Step 2

Bake at 350° F for 10 minutes, remove foil & top with sugar. Brûlée until sugar has melted & turned golden.

2 - 3 tbsp white sugar

Drizzle with lavender honey & serve with crusty bread for dipping.
