Say hello to my agave, jalapeño & lime (AJL) wings! They’re tangy, a bit spicy & subtly sweet.

While the key ingredients are agave, jalapeño & lime, chipotle (flakes & powder) play a supporting role adding a hint of smokiness.

Agave, Jalapeno & Lime Wings

In a bowl, combine baking powder, onion powder, chipotle chili powder, garlic powder, pepper & salt. Set aside. Pat wings completely dry, add to a bowl & drizzle with avocado oil. Toss. Sprinkle with seasoning mix. Toss again.

Place wings in air fryer at 205°C for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through–you want them extra crispy. While chicken is frying, prepare AJL butter sauce.

In a sauce pan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add in jalapeno, garlic, chipotle chili flakes, lime zest, lime juice & agave. Whisk well. Add salt & pepper to taste.

Pour sauce over wings & toss. Serve hot & garnish with fresh cilantro, if desired.
