Ingredients

Salsa Verde

20 tomatillos, husks removed & washed

7 jalapeños, stems removed

½ white onion

2 tbsp oil

6 cloves garlic

6 chiles de arbol (optional)

1 tbsp chicken bouillon OR USE SALT

1 tsp Mexican oregano

½ cup water

1 bunch small cilantro, about 1/2 cup

2 limes, juiced

1 tsp black pepper

Directions

Salsa Verde

Step 1

To a large skillet on medium high heat, add the oil. Once hot, add in the tomatillos, jalapeños & onion. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring every couple of minutes until peppers are getting charred.

7 jalapeños, stems removed

½ white onion

Step 2

Add the garlic & chiles de arbol, cook for another 4-5 minutes.

Step 3

Add in the chicken bouillon or salt, oregano, mix & cook for 1 minute.

1 tsp Mexican oregano

1 tbsp chicken bouillon OR USE SALT

Step 4

Add the water to the skillet, let simmer for 3-5 minutes. Turn of heat & let cool for 5-10 minutes.

½ cup water

Step 5

Add all contented from the pan to the blender along with the cilantro. Blend until fully incorporated, 15-30 seconds.

Step 6

Pour into bowl & enjoy 😋

Avocado Salsa Verde

Step 1

Make the salsa verde as instructed, once blended, add in the avocado, lime juice and black pepper & blend until combined.
