Green Bean Casserole

 Bring a pot of water to a boil. Salt it then add the green beans. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Drain and add to ice cold water.

 In a large skillet/Dutch oven, cook up 1 package chopped bacon until crispy. Take the bacon out & set aside.

 Add the chopped shallot & garlic, cook for 2-3 minutes.

 Add the food processed mushrooms, or finely chopped, cook for 5-7 minutes.

 Add all the spices & cook for 2-3 minutes.

 Add in the flour, mix well to combine & cook for 2-3 more minutes.

 Slowly stream in, while stirring, 3 cups of heavy cream. Cook for 5 more minutes.

 Stir in the the green beans, most of the bacon & the cheese.

 Pour the mushroom green bean mixture into your baking dish, top with more cheese, bacon & as many French fried onions as you’d like. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees until nice & toasty on top.
