Ingredients

2 tbsp oil

¼ cup onion(diced)

¼ cup bell pepper(diced)

1 jalapeño(diced)

2 garlic cloves(minced)

2 cup black beans

2 cup white rice

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp Salsa Lizano

¼ cup cilantro(chopped)

For Serving: eggs/bacon/sausage/pico de gallo/maduros/queso fresco

Directions

Step 1

To a large skillet on medium heat, add the oil, once hot, add the onion & bell pepper, cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 2

Next add in the jalapeño & garlic, cook for another 2-4 minutes.

2 garlic cloves(minced)

Step 3

Once the veggies are cooked, add in the black beans, rice, season with salt & pepper, then mix to combine.

2 cup black beans

2 cup white rice

1 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

Step 4

After mixing, add in 1 tbsp or more of the Salsa Lizano, stir to combine.

Step 5

Turn off the heat then mix in the chopped cilantro.

¼ cup cilantro(chopped)

Step 6

Serve as is or with your favorite toppings/sides such as bacon, sausage, pico de gallo, maduros, eggs, etc.
