Ingredients

1 lb tilapia

2 tbsp mustard

2 tbsp hot sauce

2 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning

2 tsp garlic powder

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp paprika

2 tsp salt

2 tsp black pepper

2 cup maseca

canola oil or vegetable oil for frying

Corn Tortillas

Mayo

Lettuce

Cabbage

Salsas

Lime

Directions

Step 1

Get the fish filets on a tray & coat all over with mustard & hot sauce.

1 lb tilapia

2 tbsp hot sauce

2 tbsp mustard

Step 2

Once coated, toss in the seasonings of your choice. 1 tbsp of lemon pepper, 1 tsp each of all the others.

2 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning

2 tsp garlic powder

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp paprika

2 tsp salt

2 tsp black pepper

Step 3

To a large bowl, add the maseca and season with the same seasonings used on the fish. 1 tbsp of lemon pepper, 1 tsp each of all the others.

2 tsp garlic powder

2 tsp onion powder

2 tsp paprika

2 tsp salt

2 tsp black pepper

2 cup maseca

Step 4

Coat the fish in the maseca, then set aside while you finish coating the rest.

Step 5

Get a large skillet with the oil on medium high heat. Once hot, fry the fish filets for 3-4 minutes per side. Once crispy & golden brown, set on a wire rack or paper lined plate.

Canola oil for frying, or vegetable oil

Step 6

You can serve as tacos, or with fries & a side of rice & salad.

Step 7

To serve as tacos, get a corn tortilla, slather with mayo, then top with lettuce or cabbage, the fish filet, salsas & lime juice.
