Ingredients

2 chicken breasts, boneless, pounded out or sliced in half

1 tbsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

salt and pepper to taste

¼ cup mayo

2 tbsp mustard, I used Fresco Sauce Habanero Mustard

1 tbsp hot sauce, I used Fresco Sauce Chile De Arbol Hot Sauce

1 bell pepper, diced

1 inch onion, diced or sliced thick rings

Directions

Step 1

Get your chicken breasts, if they're super thick, pound them to flatten, or slice in half.

Step 2

Add to a bowl along with the spices, mayo, mustard and hot sauce. Mix to combine and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Step 3

Get a large skillet on medium high heat, place the chicken breast in the pan, cook for 4-5 minutes per side.

Step 4

After about 7 minutes total, add the bell peppers and onion so they start softening.

Start getting the buns toasted, either in the same pan with the chicken if big enough, or in a separate skilled/pan.

To the chicken, once the veggies are softened, add peppers on top of the chicken, then the cheese, then the onion, cover if needed to melt the cheese.

To assemble, salted the toasted buns with more mayo, mustard, place the chicken on the bottom bun, top with lettuce, tomatoes and slice in half if wanted.
