Ingredients

1 boxed cake mix(any flavor will work)

1 ¼ cup milk

½ cup melted butter

7 eggs

1 can evaporated milk(12 oz)

1 can condensed milk (14 oz)

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1 block cream cheese

1 cup cajeta or dulce de leche

½ cup pecans, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Set your oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

Prepare your boxed cake mix according to package instructions, BUT the box asks for water, use the same measurements the box asks for but milk instead, the box also asks for oil, use butter instead, then the three eggs. (you can also just follow the box instructions as is by using the water and oil). Mix the cake mix in a large bowl, once mixed, set aside.

1 boxed cake mix(any flavor will work)

1 ¼ cup milk

½ cup melted butter

7 eggs

Step 3

To your blender container, add the 4 eggs, evaporated milk, condensed milk, cream cheese and the vanilla extract. Blend until you get a smooth mixture.

7 eggs

1 can evaporated milk(12 oz)

1 can condensed milk (14 oz)

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1 block cream cheese

Step 4

To bake the chocoflan, you need a bundt pan, spray the insides well with non stick cooking spray.

Step 5

First, pour the cake batter into the bundt pan, tap it on the counter a couple of times to make sure the batter is evenly spread out. Next, slowly pour in the flan mixture from your blender over the cake batter. It may start to look messy, but this is a trust the process type of dessert.(The layers of cake and flan separate while baking, so even though you added the cake batter first, then the flan, when the cake is baked, the flan will be at the bottom of the pan and the cake part will be at the top of the pan. Cover the bundt pan with foil and make a hole right in the middle where the bundt pan has its opening.

Step 6

To bake the cake, you need to place the bundt pan inside a large baking dish, a baking dish big enough to where the bundt pan fits well inside without wobbling. Fill up the baking dish with boiling hot water, enough water to go up 1-2 inches the pan. Carefully place the baking dish with the bundt pan in the oven.

Step 7

Bake the chocoflan for anywhere from 60-80 minutes(all ovens temperature runs different, yours may or may not need more time. Once you're at the 60 minute mark, lift up the foil from the bundt pan, test the cake doneness with a toothpick or long skewer, if it comes out clean, the cake is ready, if it comes out dirty, keep baking it and keep testing for doneness every 5-10 minutes. Once you take the cake out of the oven. Let it cool down before flipping. For best results, let it cool down completely, 2-3 hours, or even overnight in the fridge.

Step 8

When you are ready to flip the cake, get your cake plate or any large plate that's bigger than your bundt pan, place it over the bundt pan and carefully flip it over so that you can easily lift up the pan as the cake releases onto the plate.

Step 9

Once the chocoflan is flipped, top it off with the cajeta or dulce de leech and the chopped pecans.

1 cup cajeta or dulce de leche

½ cup pecans, chopped

Step 10

Your dessert is ready to enjoy!
