Ingredients

1 white onion

1 red onion

3 tbsp olive oil

1 lb ground beef

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

Salt & pepper to taste

2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

1 tbsp avocado oil

Crumbled Blue Cheese

Directions

Step 1

Thinly slice the onions.

Step 2

To a skillet on medium heat, add the olive oil, the onions & about 2-3 teaspoons of salt.

Mix the onions every 3-5 minutes for about 30-45 minutes, depending on how many onions you’re making and how big/small your pan is. At the end they will be almost wilted down to nothing & perfectly Caramelized.

Step 4

Add the beef to a mixing bowl, season with garlic & onion powder, salt & pepper to taste and the Worcestershire sauce. Mix until combined and then form your burger patties. You can either make 2 big 1/2 lb burgers, 3 small 1/3 lb burgers OR 4 smaller 1/4 lb burger patties. Season on the outside again with salt & pepper.

Step 5

Get your pan nice & hot(or grill), add oil if needed. Cook for about 3-5 minutes per side, depending how well done you want the burgers.

Step 6

Once you flip the burgers, after 2-3 minutes, top with the blue cheese, cover with a lid & let it melt.

Step 7

To assemble, toast the buns, slather with mayo, place arugula on the bottom bun, the patty on top, Caramelized onions & it’s ready to eat!
