Ingredients
16 oz Raw shrimp
Red bell pepper cut into strips
Green bell pepper cut into strips
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp cornmeal
¾ cup flour
2 tbsp mustard
2 tbsp hot sauce
1 Egg, beat
Cajun seasoning
Onion powder
Garlic powder
All purpose seasoning
Cayenne pepper
Lemon, sliced
Directions
Step 1
Clean, peel, and detail shrimp. Place in a bowl and add mustard, hot sauce , egg, and seasonings. Sit aside
Step 2
In a large zip lock bag add in flour and cornstarch. Season with the seasonings listed to your liking. Shake well. Take 1 cup of that flour mix and add into a bowl then add 1cup of water. Mix well . This will be the wet batter for the peppers.
Step 3
Heat oil. Add shrimp into flour mix 1 by 1 and sit on a cooling rack for 5 mins. Drop in oil once ready and cook till golden brown. Remove when done.
Step 4
Take sliced peppers in dip in wet batter then dry flour . Immediately drop in oil and let fry for 3-4 mins. Remove once done
Step 5
Mix together peppers and shrimp and squeeze on lemon juice. Serve with spicy ranch and marinara.
