Ingredients

For the meat
2 lbs ground beef

2 tbsp olive oil

½ yellow onion, diced

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt & pepper to taste

For the sauce

¾ cup ketchup

15 oz tomato sauce

2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 tsp tomato paste

2 tsp Dijon mustard

¼ cup dark brown sugar

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp Cajun seasoning

½ tsp smoked paprika
Salt & pepper to taste

¼ cup water

For the sandwiches

Hamburger buns

American cheese slices
Directions
Step 1
Sauté your onion and garlic in olive oil, on medium heat. Once your onions start to become soft, add in your ground beef. Break it up and cook until brown, drain grease and add in seasonings.

Add all ingredients for the sauce to a mixing bowl. Whisk together well, add it to the meat, mix, cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Now you can enjoy! I like to have mine on a brioche hamburger bun with American cheese!
