Step 1
Start out by adding salt and pepper to the chuck roast and searing it on each side for about five minutes.

In the crock pot add a 1 diced onion, 4 cloves of garlic, beef broth, and about a half a cup of red wine.

Add some Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce. Throw some thyme in there and add your seasonings.

Add some pads of butter on top and cook on low for six hours(varies by size of chuck).

Add 2 sliced onions and oil in a skillet on med/high heat, turn them down and cook on med/low for about an hour until they get a golden color.

After six hours on low, your roast is done. Remove the meat, strain the liquid and set aside.

Mix up your mayo, creamy horseradish, Dijon mustard, and some garlic.

Spread mixture onto a baguette and then you can add the beef, caramelized onions, and some provolone cheese.

Warp in foil and bake in the oven at 350° for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
