Ingredients

2 lbs Chicken wings

Salt and pepper

Chimichurri seasoning

¼ cup maple syrup

¼ cup wing sauce

2 tbsp butter

2 tsp garlic powder

Directions

Step 1

Gather all the necessary ingredients: 2 lbs chicken wings, salt, pepper, Chimichurri seasoning, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1/4 cup wing sauce, 2 tbsp butter, and 2 tsp garlic powder.

Step 2

Start by preheating your smoker to 300°F (150°C). This will give the chicken wings plenty of time to reach the desired temperature during the smoking process.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, add 2 lbs of chicken wings.

Step 4

Coat the chicken wings with cooking oil. This will help the seasonings adhere to the wings and prevent them from sticking to the smoker.

Step 5

Season the chicken wings generously with salt, pepper, and Chimichurri seasoning. Use your hands to make sure each wing is fully coated in the seasonings.

Step 6

Once the smoker is preheated, carefully place the seasoned chicken wings on the smoker.

Step 7

Close the lid and let the chicken wings smoke until they reach an internal temperature of 175°F (79°C). This should take approximately 30-45 minutes, but the exact cooking time will depend on the size of the wings and the temperature of your smoker.

Step 8

For the Sauce

Step 1

While the chicken wings are smoking, prepare the sauce by combining 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1/4 cup wing sauce, 2 tbsp butter, and 2 tsp of garlic powder in a saucepan.

Step 2

Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir continuously until the butter has fully dissolved and the ingredients are fully combined. Set the sauce aside for later use.

Step 3

Once the chicken wings are fully cooked, remove them from the smoker and let them rest for a few minutes. This will allow the juices to redistribute and prevent the wings from becoming dry.

Step 4

Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken wings in a large mixing bowl. Use your hands or a spoon to make sure each wing is fully coated in the sauce.

Step 5

Serve the smoked chicken wings immediately, garnished with extra Chimichurri seasoning if desired. These delicious wings are perfect for game day, a backyard barbecue, or any other occasion where you want to impress your guests with your culinary skills. Enjoy!
