Ingredients
2 ¼ lbs ground beef
1 can chili beans
1 can kidney beans
½ green bell pepper
½ yellow onion
1 can diced tomatoes
1 ½ cup tomato sauce
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp adobo
1 tbsp chili powder
Directions
Step 1
Dice the onion and green bell pepper.

Heat a pan with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.

Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the pan. Mix well.

Add 1/2 tablespoon of each seasoning: salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, adobo, and chili powder. Mix well.

Once the ground beef is cooked, drain the excess fat.

Add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste to the pan and mix well.

Add the can of diced tomatoes, chili beans, kidney beans, and tomato sauce. Mix well.

Add the beef broth and the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of each seasoning. Mix well.

Simmer the chili on medium to low heat for about 30 minutes.

If a thicker chili is desired, use a potato masher to mash it down slightly.

Cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Serve with desired toppings such as jalapeños, sour cream, cheese, crackers, or green onion.
