Chicken Teriyaki Pineapple Bowl

Ingredients

1 Fresh Pineapple

5 Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs

1 cup Brown Sugar

⅓ cup Soy Sauce

½ Water

2 tbsp Corn Startch

1 tbsp Minced Garlic

1 ½ cup of Cooked Rice

Green Onion/Seasme Seeds for Garnish

Directions

Step 1

Slice pineapple down the middle and remove inside, for remaining pineapple use an ice cream scooper to get it all out.

Step 2

Season your chicken with salt, pepper, garlic& onion powder.

Step 3

Heat olive oil in a pan for 2/3 minutes before adding chicken. Cook chicken on medium to high heat 5/6 minutes on each side.

Step 4

Remove chicken once at desired temp of 165, in same pan add in soy sauce and garlic. Turn heat down to a medium.

Step 5

After garlic is aromatic, add in brown sugar and stir. Mix cornstarch and water together before adding into sauce.

Step 6

Allow sauce to cook for 2/3 minutes until thickened. Stirrring occasionally.

Step 7

Once sauce is finished add chicken back in and allow to cook for 2 additional minutes.

Step 8

Add rice to your pineapple bowl, chicken on top, and some extra sauce because you deserve it.
