Ingredients

6 Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs

1 tbsp Ginger

5 cloves of Garlic

¾ cup Brown Sugar

1 cup Soy Sauce

⅓ cup Hosin Sauce

Green Onion for garnish

1 tbsp Soy Sauce (for chicken)

Seasonings:

½ tbsp OF EACH

Garlic Powder

Onion Powder

White Pepper

Salt

Pepper

Directions

Step 1

Start by prepping all of your veggies, mincing garlic, ginger, and chopping green onion.

Step 2

If possible, cut the excess fat off your chicken and rinse well. Be sure to pat each chicken thigh dry so seasonings coat well.

Step 3

Season your chicken with everything listed under the seasoning section and add 1 TBSP soy sauce and a TSP (teaspoon) of the garlic & ginger.

Step 4

In a pan heated on high medium heat, (6/7 on heat, not HIGH) add olive oil, once olive oil is heated add in your chicken.

Step 5

Cook on each side for 7 minutes, you want to obtain a nice char on the chicken. It will help enhance flavor for chicken and sauce.

Step 6

Once chicken reaches internal temp of 165 remove from pan, turn heat to a low, and set aside to rest for 5 minutes before slicing into it.

Step 7

As your chicken is resting and pan has cooled a little, add in garlic and ginger.

Step 8

Once aromatic, add in bourbon and cook down for 3 minutes to allow alcohol to cook out and to deglaze the pan. (You want all those yummy pan drippings from the chicken cooking)

Step 9

After 3 minutes, add soy sauce, hosin sauce, brown sugar, and mix.

Step 10

Allow to simmer and add chicken back in once the sauce has thickened. Cook for additional 4/5 minutes.

Step 11

If you want a darker sauce feel free to add browning, this won’t enhance flavor so it’s totally optional.

Step 12

Serve with rice and enjoy. ❤️🫶🏽
