Prepare the Shrimp and Plantains:

Peel the green plantains and cut them into thin slices, about 1/8 inch thick. You can use a mandoline slicer or a potato Peeler for even slices.

In a mixing bowl, combine the fry batter mix with water according to package instructions. The consistency should be similar to pancake batter.
