Indulge in the delightfully crunchy texture and savory flavor of these homemade onion rings. Each ring boasts a golden-brown exterior that cradles tender, perfectly cooked onion inside. Elevate your onion ring experience with this zesty and creamy spicy ranch sauce. The marriage of cool, creamy ranch dressing with a punch of heat from the added hot sauce creates a tantalizing dip that's bursting with flavor.

Homemade Appetizer Style Onion Rings

Fill Deep Fryer with Frying Oil (Peanut or Vegetable) and Preheat to 350 Degrees.

First Mixing Bowl: Combine 1.5Cups Flour, 1/3Cup Corn Starch, and 2-3Tbsp of All-Purpose Seasoning in a mixing bowl. Whisk to combine.

Second Mixing Bowl: Mix 1 1/4Cups Flour, 1/2Cup Corn Starch, 4oz of Water, and 2 Eggs until the mixture reaches a batter-like consistency.

Third Mixing Bowl: Finally, in a separate bowl, place 8oz of Seasoned Panko breadcrumbs.

Place 1 White Onion on a Cutting Board and peel off the outer layer. Cut off the head and butt of the onion. Lay the onion on its side and proceed to cut it into thick slices, aiming for slices between 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch in thickness. After slicing, separate the rings of the onion and set them aside.

In order, lightly coat the Onion Rings in the Seasoned Flour mixture. Dip the floured onion rings into the prepared batter mixture, ensuring each ring is fully coated. After the batter coating, transfer the Onion Rings into the Seasoned Panko breadcrumbs. Make sure to thoroughly coat each onion ring in the Seasoned Panko, ensuring an even and complete covering.

Carefully add the coated onion rings to the preheated oil. Fry the onion rings for 2-4 minutes until they achieve a golden brown color and crisp texture. Once fried, remove the onion rings from the oil and let them drain on a Wired Rack placed over a Sheet Pan. While still warm, sprinkle the fried onion rings with salt according to taste.

In a Ramekin or Small Bowl, combine 2/3Cup of Ranch Dressing with 1/3Cup of Hot Sauce. Garnish the spicy ranch dip with freshly chopped Parsley for added freshness and presentation.
