Ingredients

4 slices of your favorite bread (baguette, sourdough, or whole grain)

4 oz smoked salmon

4 oz cream cheese (softened)

2 tablespoons capers, rinsed and drained

½ small yellow onion, thinly sliced

Everything but the Bagel Jalapeño seasoning (to taste)

Fresh dill or chives (optional, for garnish)

Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Toast the Bread:

Step 1

- Preheat your oven or toaster. Toast the slices of bread until they are golden brown and crispy. If using an oven, you can place them on a baking sheet and broil for a couple of minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.

Assemble the Toast:

- Once the bread is toasted, spread a generous layer of the cream cheese on each slice.
